Everything to Expect in the 2025 Ram 1500

The Ram 1500 Continues to Lead with Luxury & Capability

The newest Ram 1500 full-size truck continues to dominate the market with its luxurious interior and capable drivetrain. Ram continues to offer the refined truck in eight trims, ranging from the entry-level Tradesman to the exceptionally equipped new Tungsten trim. The automaker has also redefined the engine options, dropping the iconic Hemi V8 instead of several turbocharged options.

At Central Florida Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram near Windermere and Sky Lake, you can find the 2025 Ram 1500 Crew Cab with a roomy backseat and the Quad Cab with seating for five or six.

New Engine Choices

While the Ram 1500 body styles haven’t changed, what’s available under the hood has. In previous model years, Ram offered a variety of engine options. Now, the automaker has whittled the engine choices down to three, all paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but many trims come with four-wheel drive.

The entry-level engine is the 3.6-liter V6 with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This engine delivers 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. It’s standard on the Ram 1500 Tradesman and Ram 1500 Big Horn. The next engine is a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six with 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. This engine is standard in the Ram 1500 Rebel and Laramie.

The top engine is a high-output version of the 3.0-liter straight-six. It delivers 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. This engine is standard in the top trims. In the top Tungsten trim, the zippy ride is enhanced with an air suspension system.

Upscale Technology & Styling

Regardless of the trim, the Ram 1500 is decidedly upscale. The entry-level Tradesman trim is loaded with features including an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and more. It also features Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Keep Assist, Lane-Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

As drivers move up in the trim levels, the infotainment screen increases in size. From the Big Horn to the Limited Longhorn, the luxurious pickup truck has a 12.0-inch infotainment screen. The Laramie has an available 14.4-inch touchscreen, and the large screen is standard in the Tungsten trim.

Drivers who want the best luxury and convenience features like premium leather and a power tailgate should choose trims like the Laramie and better. Drivers looking for the best off-road capability should look no further than the Rebel trim with its all-terrain tires, electronic locking rear axle, skid plates, and tow hooks.
