What RAM Truck Bed Dimensions are Available?

When you purchase a 2020 RAM 1500, you start by selecting whether you want 4×2 or 4×4 drive, and on the cab/box size.

RAM vehicles often come with 3 cab sizes: Regular Cab, Crew Cab, and Quad Cab. The cab size you choose may impact the size of the truck bed dimensions you have to work with.

All RAM 1500 models have a standard 51-inch bed width. Whether you purchase the 2020 RAM 1500 Classic Tradesman or the 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie, your bed width will be a standard 4’25” from left to right.

Beyond width, RAM 1500 trucks are available with three box lengths.

You can purchase trims with box dimensions of 5’7”, 6’4”, and an extended 8”.

All other models, including Classic trims, also feature Crew Cabs with 5’7” or 6’4” boxes, and Quad Cabs with 6’4” boxes.

There are varying reasons to choose from RAM’s selection of cab/box combinations, including a need for box space or a desire for more passenger space. Note that Crew Cab models tend to favor more space in the interior for the passengers. All 5’7” bed options will fall under the Crew Cab trims, although some extended Crew Cab options are available that provide a 6’4” box.

All Quad Cab trims offer a 6’4” box.

Only the 2020 Dodge RAM 1500 offers an 8” box with its Regular Cab trim.
